Big Bundy Box

For a long time the bundy fans had to wait for a complete MWC-Box.
Sony has taken theirself a lot of time with the release of the complete seasons.

As we found out that Sony US planned to release a syndicated version of the fourth season we started here on albundy.net a petition for
– a faster release of the upcoming dvds
– un-syndicated episodes.

From that moment on Sony Germany (for the german speaking countries) released one dvd after the other in a very short term period.
And now they released this great Big Bundy Box with all seasons and some Bonus Material.

Box
The Box itself has the form of a tv. You can even put an antenna (provided) on the top of the box.
The screen of the tv is a picture with an “open matte optic” (from tido – I haven’t heard that before). It’s a picture of the four actors on the Bundy couch.
On the left side you can open the box (I think that will be the first part that will be broken – followed by the handle of the box) to get out the folder with the dvds.

Content
In that big dvd folder that’s inside the box are 34 DVDs. Three DVDs for each season (exept the first season) + 1 Bonus DVD + 1 DVD with two specials “Das Beste von den Bundys” & “Ein schrecklich netter Rückblick”
Each Season has it’s on page in that big folder. On the left page there are all titles listet and on the right side there are the dvds.
On the dvd labe we see always the outlines of two actors.

The DVDs seem to be the exact the same ones as in the regular season dvds. The menue, the content, the easter eggs and the mwc theme (on the first seasons the original one then the “new” one) are the same.

Poster
Inside the Box there is an autographed poster (A3). It’s not a new foto and the autographs are not new ones (for me they look the same as the ones from the MWC-Times – but I’ll check that too).

Special Magazine
Also there is a special magazin inside from the tv guide “TV-Movie”.
22 pages with new Interviews of the four main actors. A short quiz, some facts and 10 things to know about the bundys.
Nothing new for fans.

Bonus-DVD
On the Bonus DVD we have aprox. 1 hour of bonus material.
The material consists of two interviews. One with Katey Sagal and one with David Faustino.
Both interviews have been special produced for this Big Bundy Box.
Both actors talk about the show – How the got to the job – what the liked and what not, about the other actors end the end of the show.

It seems as there is no other hidden content (easter eggs) on that Bonus DVD.

Conclusion
The only “new” thing for a Bundy fan is the bonus dvd with the two new interviews.
All other stuff is nothing new. So if you already own the seasons I recommend not to buy the Big Bundy Box.

Just a few words from Katey Sagal to the Big Bundy Box release in a week.

Im Zuge der Big Bundy Box Veröffentlichung kam auch das Gerücht auf, dass Katey Sagal zu Gast bei Stefan Raabs “TV-Total” sein wird.

Soeben von TV-Total bestätigt, dass sie nicht zu TV-Total kommen wird.

This was just confirmed by the press agent of TV-Total.

Endlich ist es so weit. Lange wurde nur darüber spekuliert was nach der Veröffentlichung der 11. Staffel passieren wird.
SPHE (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment) gab wie so oft leider keine Auskunf darüber.

Nun gab SPHE aber bekannt:
Am 6. Dezember 2007 wird die “Big Bundy Box” veröffentlicht werden.
Beinhalten wird diese Box nicht nur 33 DVDs mit den Staffeln 1-11 sondern auch noch eine 24-seitige Sonder-Ausgabe von TV-Movie, ein Extra Booklet in Form eines Fernsehers mit bisher unveröffentlichten Bildern und eine Bonus DVD.
Auf der Bonus DVD sollen unter anderem Interviews mit Ron Leavitt und Michael G. Moye enthalten sein.

Wir dürfen gespannt sein, was sonst noch auf der DVD oben ist und ob es sich dabei wirklich um exklusives Material handelt (zum Beispiel ob Leavitt tatsächlich ein Interview zum Thema gab).

Und jetzt haltet euch fest: TV-Movie wird in zwei bis drei Ausgaben ihrer TV-Zeitschrift über die Veröffentlichung berichten. Des weiteren wird es ein Interview mit Katey Sagal sowie eine “PR-Reise” zu ihr geben. Ein Auftriff bei TV-Total könnte ebenfalls stattfinden.

Zur Zeit bemühe ich mich noch um mehr Infos zum Thema. Sobald es welche gibt, findet ihr sie an dieser Stelle!

Bei Amazon sind einige Gerüchte aufgetaucht, dass die 11. Staffel von MWC nicht mehr veröffentlich wird.
Ich persönlich glaubte ja nicht an dieses Gerücht jedoch sind nu doch einige Fans verunsichert

“Trancemaster” hat bei Sony Pictures Home Entertainment angerufen und dem Spuk ein Ende gesetzt.

Die 11. Staffel wird definitiv veröffentlich. Geplanter Veröffentlichunstermin ist bereits “Mai 2007″.

There have been some rumors on amazon that the 11th season (RC2 – Europe) won’t be released.
Tracemaster talked to Sony Pictures and now it’s clear that this isn’t true. Season 11 will be released in May.

10th Season of MwC RC 2 (Germany/Austria) will be released end of March/beginning April.
The set will include 3 DVDs (9th season had 4 DVDs – because it included some specials).

Die 9. Staffel von “Eine schrecklich nette Familie” wird am 20.02.2007 veröffentlicht.
Lt. ersten Beschreibungen wird es diesmal auch ein paar – wohlverdiente, und land erwartete – Extras geben (vielleicht hat ja das Geraunze der Bundy-Fans geholfen).

Gerade auf den letzten Punkt bin ich doch sehr gespannt, da ich nicht wirklich wüsste was in dt. Sprache bisher nicht veröffentlich wurde.

Season 9 (RC 2) will be released in Germany/Austria on the 20-02-2007.
According to some DVD-Shops Sony has put this time some extras on the DVDs.
